Rajasthan, the state popularly known as the ‘Land of Kings’ , is the largest state in India and located in the North West part of India.  The state is famous for its majestic Palaces and Forts located in all major cities of Rajasthan and for the camel rides in the golden sand dunes of Jaisalmer .  The state has beautiful carved Jain temples and Dilwara temples of Mount Abu.  The temples and the Jaisalmer Havelis depicts the true architecture of India. The main cities of interest in Rajasthan are Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Rajasthan is culturally rich for its folk music and dance. The well known folk dances of the state are the Ghoomar from Udaipur and Kalbeliya of Jaisalmer. Kathputali, Bhopa, Ghindar are some of those which depict the traditional Rajasthani culture. The state is rich in handicrafted items of carved furniture, jewellery, blue pottery, bright colourful clothing with block prints, embroidery , bandini and mirror works. The traditional dress of Rajasthani women is Lehenga and Chanya Choli and are usually in bright colours.  The main festivals celebrated in the state are Deepavali, Teej, Gangaur, Gogaji, Makar Shnakranti and Janmashtmi.
